The A6 is redesigned for 2026. It's now built with the same underlying design as the new Q5 SUV and A5 sedan. A sleek new exterior looks like a toned-down version of the all-electric E-Tron GT. For the U.S. market, Audi dropped the A6’s turbo four-cylinder for 2026, so the only engine choice is an updated version of the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that was available on upper trims of previous A6 models. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard, and an adaptive air suspension is optional. The interior gets Audi's Digital Stage setup, complete with multiple LED touchscreens. When we used it on the Q6, we found the Digital Stage took some getting used to and we wished for more physical controls. The A6 Allroad/RS 6 Avant is still on the previous platform.
