The XG350 is a conservative rear-wheel-drive sedan equipped with a smooth and refined 3.5-liter V6 coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. The interior is quiet, roomy, and jammed with amenities. Handling is short on agility, however, and the ride, while compliant at low speeds, gets buoyant on the highway. Traction control, ABS, and side air bags are also standard. For 2006, the much improved front-wheel-drive Azera replaced the XG. It is refined, quiet, and well-equipped. The ride is comfortable and steadier than past Hyundai models, and handling is fairly responsive. The 263-hp, 3.8-liter V6 has good power but only fair fuel economy.
