The Mercedes-Benz EQB, an EV version of its gasoline-powered GLB compact SUV, is part of Mercedes push to build a parallel line of pure battery-electric vehicles for its entire model lineup. The company says that the EQB can deliver up to 243 miles of driving range. The EQB looks a lot like its popular gasoline-powered fraternal twin, but features a two-motor electric all-wheel-drive powertrain that offers 225 hp in the EQB 300 4MATIC, and 288 hp in the more expensive EQB 350 4MATIC. Both trims come standard with a suite of active safety features, including AEB, BSW, and LKA, as well as a voice-activated infotainment system and an augmented reality navigation system that superimposes navigational directions upon images of the streets outside the vehicle. New for 2023 is a long-range model that puts out 188 hp and an estimated 250-mile range.
