Sized between Audi's Q3 and Q5 SUVs, the Q4 E-Tron is an electric vehicle that comes in rear- and all-wheel drive and mechanically similar to Volkswagen's ID.4. It is available in two different trims: 40 E-Tron, and 50 E-Tron quattro. The E-Tron sportback version is in 50 quattro only. The 40 uses a one-motor rear-wheel drive powertrain combined with an 82 kWh battery pack to produce 201 hp. The 50 has the same battery pack, and a 295-hp, two-motor all-wheel-drive. EPA estimated range for the quattro is 241 miles. A large center touch screen and digital instrument cluster both oriented toward the driver dominate the dash. The driver's seat will include an extra airbag in the right hand bolster to help prevent impact between the driver and front seat passenger in the event of a collision. The Q4 E-Tron comes with a suite of active safety features. For 2024 the 50e becomes the 55e and got more range, horsepower, and quicker charging. For 2025, the rear-wheel drive 40e became the 45e with 281 hp and an EPA estimated 288 miles of range.
