2027 Mercedes-Benz EQS

The all-electric, ultra-luxury EQS sedan has undergone a major update for 2027. The biggest change is the option to choose a steer-by-wire system that uses sensors, motors, and software to turn all four wheels using a flat-topped yoke. A traditional steering setup with a round steering wheel comes standard. An updated, more efficient, and faster-charging electric powertrain promises up to 480 miles between charges. 4Matic models have all-wheel drive thanks to dual electric motors. A modest exterior redesign adds a multitude of three-pointed stars across the front. The 55-inch display that spans the entire dashboard gets a new operating system. Options include automated steering assistance that can swerve around an obstacle to prevent a crash, heated front seat belts, and parking assistance cameras that can help keep drivers from scratching the wheels.
