2027 Subaru Getaway
The Getaway is the latest result of Subaru’s partnership with Toyota. It’s an all-new, all-electric, three-row SUV based on the 2027 Toyota Highlander EV. Unlike the Toyota, the Subaru comes standard with all-wheel drive from dual electric motors, and every version promises 420 hp--much more than the top trim of the Toyota. The debut version has a 95.8-kWh battery and should get more than 300 miles between charges. A later version with a smaller battery will likely have a shorter range. Depending on how it's equipped, the Getaway can seat six or seven. Every Getaway comes standard with a NACS port, cup and bottle holders for every seat, a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, power-folding third-row seats, and heated front seats.

Brand context
About Subaru

Subaru is known for driver-friendly cars and SUVs with standard full-time all-wheel drive. Its models frequently rank near the top of Consumer Reports’ owner satisfaction and reliability ratings, making some used Subarus a good choice. Along with all-wheel drive, Subarus are known for using a “boxer” style four-cylinder engine with opposing pistons that move horizontally. The design reduces vibration and gives the vehicle a low center of gravity. Most Subarus have options like heated seats and leather upholstery. The Crosstrek and Forester are each available as a fuel-efficient hybrid. The brand’s first electric vehicle, the Solterra, is joined by the Trailseeker and Uncharted SUVs. Sports cars like the WRX and rear-drive BRZ showcase the brand’s wilder side.
