The overview
The redesigned Q3 has one powertrain choice: a 255-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission driving all four wheels. It’s among the quickest entry-level luxury SUVs, with a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.5 seconds. Confident handling makes the Q3 enjoyable to drive, while its reasonably comfortable ride helps with daily livability. However, the switch from a conventional automatic to a dual-clutch transmission results in some annoying lurchiness at low speeds. Fuel economy is unimpressive, at 24 mpg overall. A new control stalk mounted behind the steering wheel combines the gear selector, turn signals, and windshield wiper controls into a single layered piece. Other controls rely heavily on the central touchscreen, which debuts a somewhat simplified, higher-contrast revision of Audi's infotainment system. The interior is nice and feels spacious for the class, but it's not particularly luxurious, making the Q3 a questionable value. Only one trim, the S line quattro, is available at launch.

Behind the data
Latest source update: October 29, 2026
Vehicle summaries, specifications, pricing and ratings come from Consumer Reports vehicle records. Auto Guide groups these records by model and reported generation start year.
Available years are listed explicitly. Gaps do not imply that a model was discontinued. Prices are source estimates, not live offers. No first-hand road test by Auto Guide is claimed.
